2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission new turbo

I was experiencing low boost, high egt's (1,350), low mileage, anyway, the local performance shop talked me into a turbo, also put a new map sensor on;



put on HTB2/62 STREET STOCK 12CM-22MM, the sound is amamzing!!! the performance is amazing!



Just turned 190k miles, left the shop pulling my flatbed empty, got a load of hay, the trip home the rig weighed 34,100 lbs.



empty running 70 mph egt's 8-900* 4 lbs boost



heading south through hills and a 20 mph headwind locked out of OD 65 mph and 100* outside egt's 1,050-1,200*, boost 20-30 lbs



flat, no wind in OD 75 mph egt's 1,150-1,250, boost 15-19 lbs



looks like it added a little over 1 mpg to fuel mileage,

Good to hear. I too am in the market for a new turbo and appreciate your sharing. Have you had a chance to pull at altitude, say above 6,000'? My current setup surges horribly in the Rockies.
