Need Help finding Air Bag Install in CT

I am getting close to purchasing 2003 24 foot 5th wheel camper. I like the turnover ball concept but I have a couple of questions. The 5th wheel hitches have large bearing surface vs. turnover ball hitch having only ball surface. . Is this a problem with long term wear? I also noticed an adapter you can purchase that bolts to bottom of trailer hitch that converts to truck bed ball on turnover. Do you get good service with this type of hookup and towing capabilities with this setup? I would like to one day purchase a gooseneck utility trailer to use with the turnover type hitch...

If you are thinking of using a GN adapter on your 5th wheel trailer to you can tow it with a turnover GN ball I would not recommend this. You can do a search on this site as it has been hashed over a ton of times but it is dangerous and can damage your 5th wheel.

If you need both a gooseneck hitch and a 5th wheel hitch, I would highly recommend the B&W turnoverball gooseneck with the B&W companion 5th wheel hitch accessory.

The gooseneck adaptors that bolt to the 5th wheel pinbox can cause (and have caused, in many cases) the 5th wheel pinbox to tear out of the 5th wheel frame due to the increased moments (torsional forces) imposed by the "lever arm" of the gooseneck adaptor. A 5th wheel frame is not designed to take the forces inherent in a gooseneck trailer design. For more information regarding the use of these adaptors, try a search on "gooseneck adaptor" here and on RV-specific forums such as iRV2.com.
