First of all, a big thank you to Mark Kendrick. It could not have been done without his knowledge and help. Thanks Mark!

I thought I'd post this here to get some more response... ...

After taking the truck for a test spin last night, I noticed my egt's are a little higher. I have not really done a WOT test, but just slow cruise, there up a hair from just running the single hybrid. With Don M's 2. 5's, I am hitting 1200, but no more than that. I mounted my pryo on the backside if the intermediate tube.

The SOP meter was on high last night and I hardly got on it! You

can definately feel the difference:eek:

Is your filter connnected directly to the HT, or did you get the 5. 5" hose and get the filtered air from the stock location? I know that when the filter is attached to the ht directly, the egt is runs about 100, to 150 hotter.

Just a thought...

Seems awfull hot especially for where you pyro is mounted... ... What boost are you seeing and at what rpm? Check for air leaks both on drive side and boost side.

Doug

I used a 4" 45 and then another 4" 90 welded them together and the filter is attached to that. It comes out near the battery corner.

Could it be that just cruising or "lugging", it isn't spooling the biggun, therefore not getting air to the little one, etc... ?

They seem high to me. With my 35-3B set up the max I have his is 1425° pre small turbo with box on 5x5 during a WOT run.

went for another light run

With the comp off, and with just the 2. 5's I noted the following:

1600 rpm @ 60 mph, 10psi boost, 1000degree egt's

2000 rpm , 20 psi boost, 900 degrees

2000 rpm @ 75 mph, 10 psi, 800 degrees (this is normal highway speeds, up from 700 with a single)

2500 rpm, 32 psi, 1100 degrees

And finally with comp on 1X1 (this was about half throttle)

2500 rpm, 40 psi, 1200 degrees.

I have not any head work yet, so I am hesitant to just set to 5X5 and push it to the floor. Do these numbers still seem high?

I run between 700 and 800° w/ pyro in the manifold under the same condtitions on flat ground. To me you seem to be running 200 to 300° high for where you have your pyro mounted.

Sounds like you need to work on your w/g adjustments. What boost levels are you seeing in your intermediate pipe? Sounds like your big charger isn't lighting off properly. Let us know what you find. Good luck!
