Hi Everyone:

Finally decided to come out of the dark shadows where I have been lurking for months enjoying the knowledge and skills of everyone here and joined the TDR. It is my intention to be an active poster and will hopefully not be to boring (engineers have a tendancy to be that way you know; just ask a wife of one.

Most of my posts will be based upon first hand experiences with the Mighty Ram and on other smarter peoples comments from time to time.

Have a great day

Tom Garven

Geeeeez guys, almost two hours and no one has said howdy yet?

Howdy new guys :D

You may have stepped out of the shadows and into the light... ... .

but beware of the "Dark Side" of the "Force", young BOMBers.

It's a slippery slope you must tread, this is but the first step of the un-ending quest for the "Holy Dyno Sheet" with the biggest HP and Torque. Oo. ;) :D

Welcome Aboard

Good to see more new members. I have not been a member very long and already have learned many informative and moneysaving things. I have yet to experience the Bombing side of the force. I do say "performance modifications" while I am in airports though.

Duaneparks,

Have you joined the LSTDR yet? Most of them live in the southern part of Houston like yourself. Next meeting is this Saturday at the Cracker Barrel at Barker-Cypress and I-10W, but I am going to the DFW dyno event.

Ed - you are so right

Thank you for the welcome Ed.

One of the reasons I joined the TDR is for the discounts that individuals can get by being a member AND:

All of the wonderful Dark Side information you gentlemen that have been there and done that can give.

Gauges 1st - then?

So to make a long story short; shes-a-runnin-just-like-candy. Now who was that on the TDR that said 'fix it until its broken then bomb it' {or something like that).

Well, I'm a little embarrassed. I sorta joined, but didn't send in any dues, got lazy and then forgot. Now I suppose I could send it to them and "re-join".

I'll probably miss the Cracker Barrel deal this Saturday though (yet another chance to pay those dues). We'll be in San Antonio.

Have fun in DFW! You'll have to let us know how yours does on the dyno.

Thank You For The Wonder Welcome

Ah yes it's so nice to feel wanted :) Just a quick thank you to everyone for the warm welcome to TDR.

By-the-way (BTY) the bass (stripper) fishing is pretty good on the lake. Got to go warm up that gasser engine on the pontoon boat and go catch some. Well actually since it's spring break and there are bunches and bunches of bikini clad ... well you get the idea of why I'm really going fishing ;-)

Don't anyone dare tell my wife why I'm going fishing - na no one on this site would do that. Oh almost forgot:

Just changed out my Intake Air Sensor (IAT). The old one looked o. k. but according to Marcos reading I was about 2. 9% low at 66 degrees F.

Another New Guy

Well I'm another new guy too - my first Dodge and my first Diesel- still getting used to it only 1800 miles on my rig. I can clearly say I am quite impressed with The Ram - and the noise of that Diesel- sounds like power to me. Going from a Toyota 4WD was a real change - parking lots have been a real trick - I'm now back to parking in the outer regions. . Really enjoy TDR and the people who visit. . :
