Competition ATPA Rcky Mtn National Truck Pull

Competition When are the two pulls in NV.

Joe, the weight deal is pretty simple. Basically, once you exceed the max. weight for a class, you are bumped up to the next. You are allowed to weigh under the limit of any class but not over. If your truck weights 7700, you can not enter the 7500 class you need to go to the 8500 class - in whch case it would be to your benefit to add weight to get to the limit of 8500. If someone chooses to pull in a class where they are under weight, that is fine. It just works against you. Consider the weight designations as max. allowable weight for that given class.

Thanks Craig, that's what I kinda figured. Guess I am going to the event with a full tank of fuel and whatever else I can throw in it to get 'er close to 8500 lbs. For those of us who are running a tool box on the bed of the truck, do they make you take it off for the pull or do they just have a look see whats inside at the technical inspection for any illegal performance enhancers or extra weights?? That is where I am gonna have to most likely throw additional weight but not if it is illegal.

Joe,

We will have no problem with a toolbox that is properly mounted in your bed. That will probably be a good place to put the weight. It would only be illegal if you add the weight after you go through tech. and exceed the limit.
