I had my VP44 go bad on me this last week and come to find out, my lift pump went bad as well. So, on goes the new VP44 and then rather than dealing with the bad lift pump, I get a FASS 95 system installed. However, I now feel like the truck is not as fast as it was before the pump failure. Seems like it doesn't throw as much smoke and takes longer to spool up the turbo. At first I realized the plate on the injector pump didn't pierce the line/wire, did that and it ran better, but still seems like I lost power. I was thinking with the new pump as the FASS system I would run better. I had the fuel gauge hooked up to the lift pump before so I haven't got it reattached somewhere new yet to see my fuel pressure. Any ideas??? It was fine before the new pump!?!?!
