What a deal. Just had a new VP44 & in-tank fuel pump put on under warranty. What should I expect for fuel pressure:

@ IDLE

Under mild accelerartion

@ cruising speed around 60 - 70 MPH.

'02 2500 SB 4x4, BHAF AFE ProGuard 7; MBRP 4" aluminized exhaust, Agri-Cover tonneau; ISSPRO EGT, Boost, Trans Temp, Fuel pressure gauges, otherwise bone stock for a little while longer.

Correction, You had a new vp44 installed and an in tank pump. The campaign pump is a cummins deal to replace bad pumps on fire trucks and buses, However there are quite a few members who purchased the $64. 00 campaign pumps.

There is quite a bit of reading on here about the intank pump, as far as #s go, I dont have one.

My pressures were 8-9 idle, I could pull it to "0" excellerating onto the highway. Cruising 5-6. I no longer have the in-tank pump. Jeff

sorry to say... . but if you want to keep your new VP44 then you will want to add a better fuel system

the in take pumps are just not that good

Its hard for me to imagine that they went from a bad design to a worse design. I wonder how much money they spend deciding that it was a good idea?

Bob

I agree with the above. Had the in-tank pump installed under warrenty. Fuel pressure was almost non-existent. Very easy to pull to Zero PSI with VERY Moderate pedal.

Took it out and got a FASS.
