My friends 06 has an improved "triple seal" weather strip in place of my single weather strip that runs up the side of the windshield and accrues the side of the cab for the doors to seal against. Does anyone know if this is a direct replacement for my seals? Anybody have P/N's?

TIA

Just curious, is there also a new improved windshield molding on the 06 trucks? If so is this something that cuts down on wind noise and can be fitted to the older trucks?

I just had the TSB done on my truck, and it's likely the same seal that's used on '06's. It's the seal that gets pinched whenever the door (either side) is opened. The replacment dosen't have as much fluff as the old one, and tapers down early towards the bottom. It works, after I got the truck back we had some real heavy rain and there was no water or air leaks.

P/N

55277190AB and 55277191AB price was only $12. 75 each.

Thanks for the replies. I too am very interest in reducing wind and road noise.

I can see there's a different part that runs down the left and right side of the windshield that looks like it's supposed to redirect wind or something. It looks like it would screw rite into place and replace the smaller plastic part on my truck.

Theres also a new seal that runs down the narrow crack between the doors. This is a continuation of the seal that starts at the top of the door but ends at the belt line. This piece starts from the belt line and continues all the way to the bottom of the door. I installed them ($27 each) but had to drill 4 holes in the leading edge of each back door to do it, it also keeps dirt out of the door jam area.

Finally, there's a thin plastic piece that spans the gap between the bed and cab, mounted at the very bottom of the bed that looks like it should stop negate some of the noise that comes from back there.
