OK, had to do some more runs on Moabs trails..... Sorry Boomer II, you will just have to come out here now... !

This is the view from our campsite on Dubinky Well Road. . Take Highway 313 toward Canyonlands, 100 yards after the 3rd viewpoint, turn right, then go to the 1st right to a elevated caprock, there is a dozen or so sites. . this is the first on the right...

This is a very steep hill, Note the angle of me to the rhino, This is about a 30 degree or so hill. ... This is on a trail called "7 Mile Rim trail"

This is a shelf I know I could not get over on the line I did but I wanted the extreme pic... In the back is my 74 yr old mom and 2 Schnauser dogs. Dad took the pics.

Here I am at the "Top of The world" trail with the Rhino. I was on this trail 3 years ago with my Ram and now I wouldn't do it... it had washed out and deteriorated alot since then... .

I took my new KLR 650 on a ride out to the Green River on a trail that went out to an overlook. This bike does well on regular trails and a workout on anything else because the tires are stock and digs like a miner and skitters on rocks...

After Moab, ... and the replacement of the 6 tires in the ajacent thread, we went to Marysvale and did the 02 trail to the 13 trail and went up to these mountains...

Here is the veiw from the top of the mountains in the last pic.

and this is the veiw to the northwest looking at I-70 a few miles from I-15 at the top of the mountain at 9500 feet. !!

Great shots Eric. We were out there last September, and will be returning this September with my Jeep in tow. I also plan on making it out there for the Easter Jeep Safari... It's kinda funny when I tell people at work that I'm vacationing in Utah and they ask "What's there to see in Utah?". They have no idea how many neat places there are to explore out there.

Off topic, But To ride a motorcycle there on those spots, does it need to be street legal or can you ride offroad bikes?

Any ATV or Dual sport or dirt bike or whatever... . Just has to have a spark arrestor...

Only on the paved roads do you need to be street legal...

Boomer,

Tentative going to plan for the May Madness next year... so come on up.

For good scenery, There is a place near there called "Valley of Fire"... a lot of redrock in a neat setting. would be fun to show you around some neat sights there.

Eric

We went to the Valley of Fire St. Park outside Vegas in Feb. Bunch of red rock like Moab right in the middle of the desert. What's the May Madness thing?

Big dodge rally and get together... folks come from all over...

do: ... vendor hall, dyno runs, show n shine, sometimes a truck rodeo or sled pull, informal dinner get together by pool or at dealership, you get goodie bag and t-shirt, pay for a banquet on saturday and they have door prizes from the vendors and such... . , go to the drag strip for grudge matches and test n tune.....

a lot of fun and lots of good folk to hang out with... . I think in 05 there was like 300 total... usually stay at Arizona Charlies East which has an RV park.

no, Las Vegas, NV. ... This past may it was in Pahrump, NV which is NW of las vegas.

Look for the sign-up form in the TDR mag... might be in the next one I think.
