New XM Radio

Installed an XM Radio today in my '99. Used the Pioneer that hooks up to the OEM radio. Antenna hardest part. Easy intall, about 2 hours, works great. Those of you in the South will understand "it's nice to get something beside church services" on the radio on Sunday.

At the GATS truck show in Dallas this year XM had a booth set-up. I saw 3 different kinds of antennas. A thru-the glass type short, rubber ant. simmilar to that of a cell phone. Another one was really small and was in the shape of a shark fin. I think that one had a magnetic mount. The last antenna though was the greatest. This antenna was so obnoxiuos that only a trucker could love it. That antenna was about 4 foot long with a huge loading coil on the tip end of it and came with a mirror mount like a CB antenna. I can see the threads now "I BOMBED my XM antenna"



My fav. about XM is that anywhere I go I'll always be able to hear the Nascar race.
