Newbie BOX questions...

I bought a 04. 5 CTD 2500 4x4 and want to add a BOX to improve performance and mileage. I have a few questions I was hoping you good folks could answer them for me.



If I take the BOX out before I take the truck into the dealer will they know I had one running?

What does this mod do reliability?

Are Gauges a must when adding a BOX?

Does the mod increase the EGT to dangerous levels?

Can you recommend one?



Any help would be great!

The edge ez is good box. Depending on your right foot it also might help your fuel mileage. If your going to run a box get gauges. rhino50

Same here -- Edge EZ and always run with gauges. A pyro if nothing else. And repeat after me -- "If I bomb my truck, I am my own warranty station. " But, it's up to the dealer. The general rule is that if they prove the box caused the problem, they can void the warranty. I'm not sure that I have ever heard of an Edge EZ ever causing a problem on a 3rd Gen truck EXCEPT for a few people who used the hidden level five, but those were far and few.



I like my EZ.
