Had been a member back when I owned a spankin' new 24V a few years ago. Found the "light" (actually, the wifey and I had our first child), and the shiny new truck (& large payment) went away, and in its place rested a '93 W250 Club Cab with 75k miles, two tone red and grey -- but it had been ROLLED. Previous owner dumped that poor truck on its lid in a snowstorm.

By luck, the truck found its way to a fellow with a body shop, and with a new cab and a lot effort, the truck was resurrected better than original (albeit with a rebuilt title). As is the case with most folks, the truck became "old" to this fellow (new challenges awaited), and went up for sale. I snatched it up. What a gem in the rough, and I had to have a CTD to replace the 24V CTD.

Immediate requirements included new springs, shocks, tires, wheels, and exhaust (all went on quickly and easily). Now its time for the fun... Had to rejoin to see what I have been missing, and the TDR seems much more fun with a 1st Gen! Lots to do - gauges, pump tweaks, etc. Got to read up more, but this place is great. I'm sure I'll be asking questions, and may bump into a few of you in the Northwest (I also signed up for the local TDR chapter). Just wanted to say HI

Hi and welcome to the looney bin. The first Gens are addictive. I found myself sneering at a 24v pickup the other day, even though it could probably give me a good run for my money. :D

I got my gauges from DIS in Lubbock (I think). www.dieselpage.com ISSPRO Pyro, 40psi boost (shoulda gone for 50), and a 2 pillar pod delivered to my door for under $200. The EV series is a big improvement over the originals, esp at night.

Look around; you'll find more info than your wife would care for you to know (translation- you will want to spend a monthly payment on BOMBs)

Daniel

Welcome!

Take it from me..... a fleet meknick of... ..... about oh, 20/21 (??) Cummins "B" engines. The older units are MUCH more reliable than the 24 valve's could dream of. :D
