Newbie Here/Need Input for Banks Monster Exhaust

Hello Fellow Cummins owners, I have a 03 Dodge with the HO engine, 6 speed 2500 4x4 reg cab. I bought the truck back in april and so far everything is great. I had a 97 ford pstroke and it was a good truck but the dodge has it beat by a long ways. Anyways, need imput on the banks exhaust 4"system. Been thinking about it and i'm wanting a better stronger sound. I don't like the quietness of the truck and wanna get some "ROAR" to it. Also while going up thru the gears, sometimes its a bit sluggish when i shift around 2700-2900 rpm. Will the exhaust system help that. I'm not really technical or a mechanic so any info would be greatly appreciated. Also, my wife is a horse trainer and we pull a 38' aluminum horse trailer alot. Thanks

JBiltz, welcome to TDR



Banks makes high quality stuff, but if you're wanting stainless exhaust there are other vendors with very good stuff for less $$. DPPI (Diesel Performance Products Inc. ) MBRP (available from Piers Diesel Research) have some great stainless systems, among others. If you're not stuck on stainless Rip Rook has a great system as well as several others.



I suggest going to the links page and checking out the vendors, and reading these forums because there's a few threads on exhaust if you dig back a few months.
