i am a reformed dodge user i had a 97 dodge 3500 12 valver and a few mods but upgraded (lol) to a 02 crew cab f350 powerchoke

after nine months of frequent dealership attention i finally got smart and traded it in on my newest ride it is a 99 quad cab 3500 5 speed it lacks the power my 12 valve had but is better than my ford. i tow a 13000# tagalong enclosed trailer and i need more power but my wallet still feeling effects of getting out from under the ford. first question ive been studing your post and dont like some of the post on fueling boxes and failing pumps soon after. i couldnt afford to buy a box and then have to come up with money for a pump same week so i am leaning towards injectors somewhere in the 50-100 hp range any suggestions and (cheap) prices. yea i know aint nothing cheap on a diesel. but always looking for the deal. i already have a bhaf k&n off my 12 valve

and for now am going to put a st through muffler on stock pipes but what should be next upgrade. will i need a boost fooler and elbow for injectors or is it just for fuelboxes?

the vp pumps fail due to a lack of fuel. this is "usually caused by the transfer pump going out" if u add an ez it will not make your vp prematurelly fail due to the added fuel unless the transfer pump quites working. now if you get a comp box or something a little more wicked, then you'll have to address the fuel problem most likely but not always, its up to u. most people will put bigger lines and fittings just to make sure u don't starve the vp for fuel. injectors will work ok without a fueling box, but the presence be felt a lot more if u have a fueling box to put more fuel to the bigger injectors. as for the boost fooler, you'll proly need one and the edge i know has the fooler built in to it. a couple other boxs do to but i don't know off hand what the names are. this should be a little help to you. if u plan to go for more power, then gauges are a must. pyro, boost, possibly fuel pressure also.

Fueling boxes work too good not to try 'em... that and an exhaust and you should be good for any PRACTICAL application you would use your truck for. I've got 97k on mine and lift pump still shows good numbers. If your terribly concerned put in a fuel pressure gage at the same time (these trucks need 'em anyway). You won't fail the VP if it has adequate supply to start with.
