I have been "lurking" here for almost a year and feel like I know most of you! Finally decided to jump in and join the fun!
It seems that one of you has sent me the dreaded BOMB-itis virus, and it apparently went through my computer, out through the mouse and into my bloodstream! I know, resistance is futile, I will be assimilated!
If I have my facts straight, the general consensus is that for us guys with stock automatics, that the Edge EZ or the VA box is all we should do. Will this automatic hold with one of these boxes? The truck is used mostly for a daily driver and occasionally tows a boat that will weigh in at about 5000 pounds with boat, trailer, and gear. Should one drive more carefully when using one of these boxes and towing? Also, will these boxes "write" to the ECM and leave "tracks" that the dealer can read, or is it just the boxes with the pump wire tap? As you can see by my sig, I have the gauges already installed and have a good idea of what my truck does in towing conditions in it's stock form. Any advice you can give me will be appreciated!
