Newbie - understanding terminology

Excuse the ignorance, but I'm new to the Roundtable and looking for some acronym clarification.



What does BOMBING mean (seems to imply upgrades of all sorts, just wondering).



Also I see several references to EZ and some other acronyms. Are these electronic add-ons?



Any explanations appreciated.

BOMB=Better Off Modified Baby

EZ = Edge EZ. This plug-in box advances injection timing, increases fueling and (in conjunction with a boost elbow supplied with it) allows higher turbo boost via an integral boost module.

ETH= HO(high output) motor these only come with a six speed transmission (DEE) example: ETH/DEE in a signature



ETC= standard 24valve motor, these can be automatic or 5spd manual transmission.



EGT= Exhaust Gas Temperature



HX35= rubber lined wastegate, the turbo that is on 5 and 6spd trucks.



HY35= hard lined wastegate, only on auto's, 2001 and up.



HX40= larger turbo used in other applications IE: 8. 3L cummins engines. these are used to gain more boost in performance applications on our smaller 5. 9L's.

someone suggested I should explain injectors a little.



Bully Dog, diesel dynamics, and some others sell extrude honed injectors. they are usually sold in levels or steps. the steps indicated how much power they should produce.



example: DDI, DDII's, DDIII's and so on.



I have Bully Dogs. they come in steps. right now they are selling step fives as the highest.



(I bought my 4's about two weeks too early, or I would have fives)
