Shifting in and outta gear at all cruising speeds. accelerating or decelerating it does fine.



Deadon, what is the RPM increase when, as you say, "Out of gear?" Also, you mentioned there was a ground wire coming from the TPS. Is it a splice or is it cut and a second wire going back to complete the connection?

As Mr. Landry said, invest in a new alternator [not rebuilt] slip rings and/or diodes may be the problem and clean all battery connections and grounds.

FWIW, I'm on my fourth alternator on my old '99 and have done every fix imaginable to stop the T/C hunt.
