Yup, after 68 days at the dealer in Portland (Maine), the Newf Limo (Jake) is back on the road Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.
That little girl managed to do $9,200 damage with a Nissan Maxima, that will never see the road again, I might add. Actuall the damage was minor. Some new skin on the passenger side, new leaf springs, a new drive shaft, and a new axle housing ($2500). It took weeks to get the new housing in from DANA. First they sent the wrong one, then the right one to the wrong place (and state)
. No frame damage! So, it feels just like it did before. . . in need of a DSS stabilizer :-laf . Well, that gets ordered today. The dealer did a GREAT job on the body and paint. All new metal, and a lifetime warranty.
I can't tell you how bad it has been getting stuck, first in a PT Cruiser, then. . . a mini van :{ So, thank God Jake is OK and back at home where he belongs! Our Newfies are dying for a ride!
P. s. You can see Jake in all his glory in readers rigs under my screen name.
