I installed the FASS system on my truck friday night, and I have a few questions, that haven't been answered in the other current FASS thread. My idle pressure is at 22-23 psi, the lowest I see is 20 psi. I have the 3/8 line from the FASS going direct to the VP. My gauge is installed at a tee installed between the 3/8 line and the VP. Is this pressure OK, its higher than what others have been reporting? And, can I remove the stock filter canister, guess i just want to clean up the eng. compartment some since its no longer being used. Thanks for the input.

I have the FASS 150 GPH. My pressures are the same as your. I no longer have my stock filter or lift pump set up.

The VP has a bypass back to the tank that opens at 14 psi. I have had my set up for will over 120,000 miles with no problems so far. ;)

For the air filter get yourself a BHAF. I am at work right now but can send you a pic of the set after I get home.

Thanks, guess I wasn't clear, sorry bout that. I want to remove the fuel filter canister. Probably is pretty easy, guess I'll just have to do it this weekend. No light left when I get home this time of year. Thanks for the reply.

Make sure you either get shorter bolts or use a set spacers when you put the bolts back into the manifold after removing the canister. Other wise the intake manifold will leak. ;) I knew you were talking about removal. ;)

The OEM FF does provide heating for the fuel when it is cold out. I did what you are wanting to do, but I put my OEM FF back on when it got cold. I run stanadyne as well but liked the fact that I was also heating the fuel ;)

Thanks for the heads up on the bolts in the manifold. Hopefully the stanadyne does it for me on the trips to Canada with the sleds, -30 does funny things to fuel, sleds... . people. :) Thanks.

You can get different springs to adjust the pressure from the place that sold you your FASS if you are interested... IIRC they offer a 13, 17, and 29psi spring.
