Competition Listie, Pa Pull 9/29

Competition Rumor mill on the Diesel Power challenge

Newman, CA results was pretty ugly check out the track :(

The sled did brake toward the end, there wasn't a roller there but they were using a box scraper. I think most of the issues was the fact that the track became real wet toward the center and it was clay once the pan got on it you weren't going to drag it, stoped everybody in there tracks.

Two hitches were broke one was the billet alluminum pretty adjustable thingy you can buy these days. Shouldn't have been used to start with and the other was a nice hitch but the square stock was hollow.

Wow what a night of pulling that was. . The event ran good and smooth thanks to CSSpulling and the food was good. .

Ok the track had a very sticky spot in it about the 250' mark and when the pan of the sled hit that spot all hell broke loose as you can see in the video. .

And its time for me to build a stronger hitch, the wife bent it in the stock class when she took first place and then I finshed it off . .

did you mean newman ca bloopers video? :-laf I couldnt help laughing both times I watched, it started with that first guys set of stacks.

I watched the box scraper operater washboard the track from the 200' to the end, its not that the track was tackier there at 200' it was the speed bumps that you had to overcome which as you could see none of us did. Painful, I'm still pickin my teeth off the dashboard.

I know I watched the video sunday morning and freaked out, ran out to the truck and checked them but they are not bent. Must have been an optical illusion on the video.

those stacks were a bit over-powering for the truck. :-laf

What a joke, That track looked horrible! It looked like Nick would have gone out of town until his back tires came off the ground! Ouch!

I knew I hit my head on something, but there's no way I hit the ceiling of the cab, that's like a good 2 feet away for me :-laf :-laf :-laf

I took a look at everything today on the truck, just a couple of minor things I need to address. Just got to weld some stuff back together, bend some stuff back into shape, throw some more coolant in it, and go D-max huntin on Saturday at Hollister. ;)
