Not that I want one right now , but I have been told that you cannot buy a 3/4 ton Chevy/GMC with a gas engine???? anyone know?

They are definitely still selling gas engines in the Silverado/Sierra. It is very likely that the 6.0 Vortec is on its way out the door and will be replaced by a new 6.6 gasoline engine. Navistar, which GM is partnered with on building its new MD platform has been testing the engine in their trucks. Most likely to be released with the new generation truck.

Great looking trucks aside from the brick nose shared by Ford. My friend services a fleet of Duramax's but owns a Dodge for the engine.
The Dura's hold up well even with a younger bunch of employees stepping on it when out of site. Not one trans issue either.
My other friend drives a newer 1500 Chevy. Nothing but routine maintenance and normal wear items in 200K. GM's stepped up their quality apparently.

This truck, especially the front end is going to look really nice when blacked out and lifted a bit with new suspension/tires/wheels. It doesn't look good in stock form with the chrome, but I think a lot of people who see it blacked out and lifted with new suspension/wheels/tires are going to love it.

Here's a photoshop mockup I did of a blacked out front end and bigger tires....this chevy truck is going to look badass when built right. It looks much more tech and modern than the new Dodge, which I also photoshop'd.

I had gas motored chevys back in the '90's before I made the switch to Dodge in '99. Those trucks and even some of the newer ones don't look to bad, but this 2020, ugly, I mean really this is the design you choose? Whoops.....My mother had a saying and I'm going to modify it.
"The engineers of that truck, their taste is all in their mouth".........

I guess I was being kind telling my buddy it looked the the afterbirth of a real truck.
My son has said that and something to the effect of a Toyota having sex with a ford and new chevy was the result? Maybe Nissan was in the mix too, can't recall. Anyhow, I will keep my cummins wrapped in a Ram body. Dura-trash and power-poke don't even compare.
