As I promised ... . if I had any new info on my lemon law case I would post. Got a message from my Atty. s today they said"we have recieved an e-mail from chrysler and they want to give you another truck"..... I called them back immediately and left them a message to call me and give me the details. I keepyou guys posted.

Interesting - but it would be helpful to readers unfamiliar with you and the truck if you post a brief list of unresolved issues you had with it...

Please see my other posts under grasmo. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but at one point in time I was ranting on a daily basis about the problems I had been having with my 07. 5 /6. 7 ... I think a total of 16 trips to the dealer. I finally contacted your run of the mill internet style lemon law atty. 's and they requested copies of my finance paper work and my service work orders from the dealers ... ... took me a total of 5 min. to fax them the info..... I placed a couple of calls to them to check the progress and really did not get much of a response other than a letter saying to expect an offer in 6-8 weeks... and that I had an "excellent case " well about 10 weeks have gone by and they called me today and left a message saying they had an e-mail from chrysler and they wanted to give me another truck.

Now I'm holding back my joy until I can actually spin the tires on the new truck and close down my lemonade stand. But I will let you know.

Thanks for the update. I remember you posting a lot about it, but don't remember the different issues. Maybe like Gary suggested you could sum up in a couple sentences the failed components.

Dan I' m not sure and I figure you can enlighten me on the difference. . others..... many trips for cel replaced sensors numerous times, flashed numerous times, dpf 2 times, the other 2 cats one time ,turbo one time ,egr cleaned 2 times, egr valve / controller 2 times, seven oil changesin 14k miles as dictated by the computer system in the truck..... No kidding ..... thats why I say it smells like a lemonade stand ... . I have 2 other dodge diesels that are fabulous.

Atty. 's called today and said Chrysler would be sending them the specifics of the upcoming transaction next week that they would call me and advise,so I'll let you know soon.

grasmo, what I was asking was, have you used your truck for actual business income, or is it just your personal truck with no income gained from it? At least in PA, these two scenarios are very different when it comes to what you're doing, at least from the truck's owner's side of things.

Dan ,I use my truck for my business... . landscaping/ maintenance. I mostly use my truck within a 15 mile radius of my home when towing my backhoe. To be honest when I travel out of town I use my 99 cummins because of its proven reliability, fuel economy and comfort. When I bought my truck I told the dealer exactly the way it would be used. 90% of my miles are spent empty /not towing I drive in circles all day checking mowing jobs ,picking up parts and meeting customers. I drive 5-10 miles at the time ,stop for 10-15 min. and repeat all day 5 days a weel all year. I must have this truck... . I have considered a small truck for run around work but don't want the additional expense that goes with it. I would rather have 1 truck and do all from it alone.

Grasmo-I think what Dan was getting at is the fact that you could go after them for lost income due to all the time you were deprived of the vehicle use.

Possible, but man what an inconvenience. All I want is a good truck out of the deal, one that runs consistent. As of yet no word.

Update... I called the Atty. today and actually got him ... . he said chrysler had e-mailed some info and that he still had not reviewed it but to go to a dealer and pick out a new truck as close to the one I have and get him a vin # and he will start the process to be taken care of at the dealer. I went to the dealer here in Tallahassee ,Florida and told him what was going on ... . and told him what truck I wanted and he said he would get back w/ me. Now..... after putting 23k on my lemon which was giving me problems from the 1st week I had it... ... if they deduct for mileage which some of you guys told me would probably happen... if the deduction is too much ..... I will ask the atty. to explain to me what plan B is... ... ????

Just a thought ... if for some reason I can not reach a reasonable settlement on mine I will keep it ... . rip off the entire exhaust system ... . straight pipe it ..... remove the egr etc. ..... and put on a programmer ..... I think I will consult w/ Paul Barker & Sag2 for tricks and tips.

I had a friend that got his car replaced by the lemon law. He did not half to put out any money. The dealer got caught with his car on the lot with out the paper stating this car was returned on the lemon law. He payed a BIG find

grasmo, if they don't take it back, maybe you can get them to give you a free extended warranty (like 7 years)! My sister had trouble with her new car a while ago and after threatening legal action they gave her the extended 7 year warranty. Funny thing is nothing ever went wrong again after that!

let us know, if you want to rip everything off i can point you in the right direction. As i normally use the Cummins forum. There is alot of info there about the DPF Delete and EGR block. I have not done the EGR kit as i will wait until somebody has one on the market. On the cummins forum you can find me by my name Matt Popp. Here i just just my buddys login.

anyways, I am running BADP Code Free Beta kit. The last week i was running it (I am offshore now). I had not gotten any codes at all. But Travis at BADP has been doing some tweaks here and there. I think they will be shipping there kits out in the next two weeks. There is a pretty big bak order on them. I would recommend the 4" kit replacing the down pipe to the dpf. leave the little itty bitty muffler and you will have no cabin drone. The truck will be louder but not like a 5. 9, not even close. deeper sound though. For programmer goes, the EDGE is the safest way to go. Not the most HP but the safest. The NExt couple of months BADP will have a EGR kit. People have reported the EGTS dropping about 350 degrees. from 1000 at 70 mph to 650 at 70 mph. which i stay from 950 to 1050 at highway speeds. with my PMT and MP8 turned up i can hit 1700 no problem. with it all turned off its hard to get over 1300. but agian i just have the 5" TBE, I have yet to delete the EGR, but soon.

I had a h&s 5in tbe on my previous 08 qcsb. It worked well and the exhaust drone and sound was very reasonable compared to my old 5. 9 rigs. Only reason I got a new one was an incredible deal on a mega cab, what I always wanted. Stock for stock... the new one gets much better mpg than the early build 08 I had traded. The old 08 had 0 recalls done including the g30, in hind sight that was a big mistake... . maybe. The mega has all curent flashes and gets a consistent 15 in town 17. 5 highway... . the delete, egr and dpf is coming soon. This time I will probably go badp, simply because h&s has seemed to drop off of the face of the earth.

As matt popp has stated, I will probably wait for the egr delete to be available, then I will get both and do it all at once.

Hope everything gets sorted out for ya!

From the description of your driving style, this might be the only plausible solution no matter which brand of diesel truck you perfer to drive... just my 02

News flash... . this has been going on for months but I think I'm getting real close ... . actually caught up with the atty. today he said he gave the vin# of the truck I picked out... . and Chryslers atty's. had responded via e-mail to him and indicated that it would be a collateral exchange. Now----- I asked him if I would have to come up with any money he said " I'll call their atty. s to find out and I will call you back. As of now 9:00 p. m. still have not heard back. I will let you guys know as soon as I hear from them.
