Well it is a sad day at the ranch,
While driving home from Minneapolis my turbo suddenly decided to leave this earth, it will be greatly missed. It was preceded in death by 2 transmissions and one Dana 71, both of which replaced with transplants in hope of a longer life but in the end I think it is time to let her go to the big truck stop in the sky.
This was my first Diesel and will definately not be my last although she will be replaced by a GMC Serria 1500 4x4 for a couple years until funds are available to once again enjoy the thrust of a finely tuned Cummins
. I used to think that Diesels were slow, loud, and stinky but I have found that not to be true, especially the slow part.
If anyone needs a parts truck I put a add in the classifieds in the hopes that someone will want whats left of her so that others do not have to share the same fate.
I give a big salute to all of my fellow TDR'ERs for all of thier support not only to myself but to all of those in need that found what they were looking for at this site. I will continue to be a member and remember the good times I had with Old Gray and to look forward the times ahead with a new truck down the road.
Enjoy what you have while you have it,
Because you never know when its time will come.
Best regards
