Next Alaska TDR (Bombers) meeting

Ok it is all set up. The next Alaska Bombers meeting (open to anyone who wants to come) will be at Gus's Shop on Sat 26th at high Noon.

The agenda will include installing some injectors in Gus's truck (24v) and maybe some gauges if he gets them in time. Gus's also has an EZ to install and we will be doing that if he has not already done it. If any one has a 2001 and wants to test an EZ I can pull mine out for demos, the only deal is that you HAVE to give it back, it is not for sale

I will send out a notice on the email system Midnite set up soon and then again just before the meeitng.



As before any one who is interested can meet me and who ever else shows up at the Windbreak cafe around 10:30 for breakfast before we go to Gus's place. Shoot me a pm or email if you have questions.



If anyone is interested in a small convoy from Anchorage we can set that up too...



One last note. . have your trucks washed because I am going to take some pics this time. There is a really good laser wash in town close to Gus's place, that is where I will wash mine.

As a side note I was asked to let the Alaska members know that the infamous 12 valve KDP jig will be in Fairbanks the first of next month. It would be good if it got passed around up here as much as possible to avoid shipping back and forth to lower 48.

This is something I've been thinking about. While it seems like mainly a problem for some of the 2nd gen 12 valves, I've seen posts to the 1st gen forum about people having their dowel pin come out and ruin their day.



I'm not intimately familiar with the fix, but I'd love to to look into it.

Mike - If you want to get the jig contact illflem as he is the one who told me it is coming to Fairbankks. I would guess it is going to Lkhota (sp), but I could be wrong.

Jan 26....

I checked yesterday and my DDIIs and Edge EZ are

on the way... . 4" exhaust is on the way..... gauges are on the way. I'm going to have to be gentle till I get to the transmission. I'm starting to get a

case of anticipation.

Well you know if you have all that stuff we are going to have to install it all... ... This is going to be like a Nascar pit stop just not as fast. Guys working on the exhaust, guys on the injectors, guys on the gauges... wow this should be fun. What about a new turbo and some transmission work???

The Edge EZ and the DDIIs arrived in the mail and I couldn't

resist putting the EZ on my truck, I hope I can hold off on the

injectors 'til the 26th. No gauges or exhaust yet but they should

be here soon.

On a different note we went riding at Eureka last Sunday and

the amount of snow was disappointing, we are probably going

to go north this weekend, either Talkeetna or Petersville.

Speedo. . I am headded to lost lake-Snug Harbor Road area tomorrow to bust in a trail. Should be fun, we have 10-15 guys going.

I like the EZ, better throttle response and better fuel economy, now I want more. I've got the

injectors here but I'm still waiting for the rest of the stuff to get here.

I hope to be at this meeting. Speedo is doing the addons that I am interested in. I already have the EZ and 4" Tip to Tail. Just need the DD II's and trans mods. Hope to seeya all there on Saturday the 26th.

Well just one more day till the meeting. Anyone who is interested there will be a two or three man convoy leaving from the Fred Meyer on Muldoon/Debar at about 9:30-45. We will drive up to the windbreak cafe in wasilia and have a little food before we go to Gus's place.

I think that everything went really well, everybody got to see and try things that

they are interested in doing to their own

trucks. I'm happy with the way my truck runs

with the EZ and the DDIIs, the rest of the

stuff will go on as soon as it gets here. I

think that everyone that has had a ride in

John's truck has been impressed with how strong

these trucks can run. I'll have to change my signature now.

We did have a good time. Got to hear a story about about towing a Ram with a Lexus and some other good stuff. I even heard a rumor about a Dyno in town.



With all the Bombing going on I am going to have to get after it again to stay at the top. I am going to email the drag strip and see if they would be interested in a Diesel Day... get some of us and a few other brands out there and have some fum.



Any one have ideas for the next meeting? I know Clayton said he may be able to get us a couple of stalls on the Base for a meeting.

I got the 4" exhaust via UPS today, its installed now. I'll get the

gauges in tomorrow. I'm going to have to be nice to the transmission

for a little while.

Gus - what do you think of the 4" system. Does it sound good?? How are your rear tires?

I like the sound of the 4" exhaust, not too loud. The tires are

done after this winter so I better use them up. The roads have

been a little slick here lately and I think that helps the transmission out

a little. I think I'll be talking to Bill K. soon.
