And here I was all set... my regular weekend off, no schedule adjustments... wash the truck on Sat. , take the ride on Sun... now I HAVE to take off Fri. to wash the truck. LOL, just kidding, either day is great, just glad it's in NJ. Terminator, I'll e-mail you for a meet and greet set up time/location. I have one Ford guy coming with me, no truck, just him. He wants to get a F-350 dually sometime soon, we'll see if we can't point him in the right direction #ad

I shall be there with all the power to put down on that dyno. I figure with all the power coming from the West Coast lately, we need to put some down so the country doesn't start to tilt towards the West!

I may be able to make it along with a buddy with a Ford. One question though, can the dyno LOAD the trucks properly?
It sounds like a great day!

i'm with chrgr on this , and arcticat , i just spent 80 bucks to dyno on a setup that wasn't capable of loading my truck to get a more accurate reading . if i'm going to drop a HUN . i hope its capable of working my setup .

i also like cats idea , the inital cost we paid was 50 for 2 , i got four or 5 out of that and then got back on for 4 more runs for another 30 bucks , though it wasn't able to completely show me what my power was they were all consistent numbers .

i'm going to either have to give up a day of OT or try and swap for sunday , but if the dyno in question can't load enough i just might stay home , long drive down for me . don't take it personally , i just have alot of things on my plate for the next few months .

Hew guys I had the same worrys but Bob Ida assured me that we would have no problems with getting accurate #'s. He told me he has the most advanced an up to date dynojet on the east coast. I hope he is able to handle our power to I am hoping to see some big #'s from my ride and the AWD race rig. Again he assured me it would work and I hope it does. I will ask if we can rent the thing for the hole day.

I'm not interested in running my rig on the dyno, 36x15x16. 5" tires won't like it too much. I'm just going to show&shine and B. S.

98. 5 Intense Blue, 24 valve clubcab custom dual exhaust w/5" tips, Autometer pyro & boost gauges, K&N filter, 4. 5" Skyjacker lift kit, 36"x14. 50. 50"x16. 5" Mickey Thompson baja belteds, PE-EZ, 275 injectors, no turbo silencer ring, Mopar Performance Trans Pan.

Joe, just a thought have you thought about asking for a price to just reserve the dyno for the whole day. Some shops are willing to do it that way. It sounds like there will be quite few who want to dyno. I know of two shops with a dynojet 248 that let you do as many runs as you want in a day for $600. That would mean that only six people would have to dyno before the average price for everybody starts going down. Just an idea, I'll still pay the $100 if that's what it's going to take. See ya in a month or so...

I wouldn't be too worried about being able to get good numbers from whether or not you can load your truck up correctly with this dyno because a while back we put one of our customers' trucks on a trailer dyno at a car show and there was no way it loaded up the truck to its potential and we got numbers in the 350 hp range. The truck was really mild compared to what even the slightest modified 24 valvers are doing these days. Technology has come a long way in the past two years. I can remember when there was nothing yet available to modify the "new" 24 valve engine with yet. We should see some good numbers.
