Ok, sounds like the #11 plate I put in my truck isn't giving me the power I want, so I an now considering changing to another plate. I currently have a DTT valvebody and Torque converter (89% I think. ) can anybody give me the approximate power numbers for a TST #4 plate? Will it work with stock injectors? Also, will my stock -35 turbo be sufficient or will I need to go with an HX 40? I have an HX-40 that came off of an 8. 3 CTD that needs to be rebuilt (Bearings shot). My plans were to put the HX-40 compressor wheel and housing on my HX-35. Has anyone done this?? From what I understand, the shaft is the same for the 35 and 40, which means that I should be able to just put the hx40 compressor on my hx35 shaft. (my HX-35 bearings were replaced recently and it is tight as a drum, and the 8. 3 housing will not fit on my manifold. ) I have read lots of threads on the benifits of the Piers hybrids and plan to go to twins in the future, but am not ready to take that leap yet.
 
A #4 plate should put you over 225 hp at the wheels. But thats just a WAG and probably a lil low.



Your going to run the risk of snapping the shaft on your turbo putting the 40 compressor wheel on there.

You need to get the turbo assembly balanced if you change the wheel.

The #11 is not very strong in the automatic 180 hp pump, around 220 or 230 hp at best. A #5 or #4 should push it over 270 hp at the wheels.
 
Or you can go the fun way. Grind your plate flat (make it a 0), run it full forward, and get a power adjuster. This will allow you to add as much fuel your pump will let you, or cut it back close to stock. Its a fun little tool.
