<font color=blue>Now that I have the Autometer Custom Gauge pretty much wrapped up, I enjoyed working on that, so I ask y'all what else would you like to see made? Not just gauges but in general. Toss out ideas here and if I can I will pursue one or two of them.

How about a nice (factory) looking pod to mount (factory looking) accessory switches to. This could mount to the dash somewhere under/to the side of the steering colum. The pod would ideally be paintable plastic so you could match the interior color.

How about a 2 and 3 pod pillar mount with tweeter for gauges.

Cup mount for a 52 oz. mug to mount over the smaller cup holder on a 99, 5 speed.

<font color=blue>I have emailed LoTek Engineering 4 or 5 times, only got a reply once. So I suppose I can start searching for this product and or someone to make it. Keep the ideas coming tho... . I have a feeling the pillar gonna be a tuffy.
 
How about a "Kit/adapter" to intsall a P7100 pump on a ISB?
I need more Bomb time.

I would love to see an ultimate box for the ISB something that would control smoke, timing, monitor EGT and not let the engine melt, and raise RPM on the ISB, pretty tall task, the problem is the D@#n cummins copyrighted ECM software.

A data acquistion module with a realtime interface to ALL the variables that people are wanting to measure -

Pre/post turbo EGT
Boost psi
Temperatures - trans, diffs, xfr case
fuel pressures
mpg
etc. , etc.

Realtime output on notebook would be to customizable video "gauges".

Plugged into notebook computer w/GPS and mapping software to record realtime and save historical information for playback.

A second flat panel screen installed somewhere in the dash for easy and safe viewing.

Sounds like some of the cockpit equipment found in real nice airplanes, but the technology IS available.

And Lockable hubs on the front end

And Rifle holder for under the rear seat

And a center console with a Power Plug in it.
 
Ditto on the Lock-Out hubs which would in turn, lead to a heavy dual piston caliper and be directly related to a rear disc kit from the same manufacturer.

Ok Kat, Give Warn a good swift kick in the A$$ to get them started.

That would be cool, an EFIS [electronic flight information system] for the Ram. The "glass cockpit. " Would you prefer a 2-tube efis or a 3-tube efis in case one goes out? Who would do this for us, Sperry, Raytheon, Collins, Radio shack? While we're at it, how about adding a FADEC [fully automated digital engine control]? I think that's been around for a few years, too, [DC-11??] C'mon DieselDunn, help us out here.

Seriously, I like that idea about a switch panel. Whaddya think, Kat?

Hey Kat,

How about a fully functional OBD-II scanner with data acquisition and storage so we can see how our trucks perform on the road? At the same time, we could add the GPS receiver as noted above. #ad

For pre-98 style dash you can replace the stock cup spiller with a switch panel pretty easy. Mine is on page 20 of the TDR #27. If you would like to see what my dash looks like I can e-mail you a picture.

Great job on the guages, wish I hadn't jumped so quick with the Isspro's.

Something I have been running around in my brain (small brain, maybe 5cm, quick to spool up but nothing comes out) is a larger and smoother flow intake manifold for the ISB. Saw on that Banks makes and was pretty impressed, but you guessed it big $$$$.
Anyway something that I feel would help these big fellows breathe a little easier.

Project that got way out of hand: total "BOMB"
95 Wrangler 4. 0L, NV4500, Reverse cut Dana 60 rear 44 front, Altas II, Quarter Eliptic suspension in rear, coils up front, Warn 10,000 lb to turn me right side up and the list goes on!
 
I'll second Micks suggestion!!!!

C'Mon... you can't even diagnose a problem today unless you have a functional scanner!!!!

This Cummins Canbus... takes it out of standard OBDII specs making a off the shelf OBDII scanner WORTHLESS!!!

I know these trucks NEVER break down..... but!!!

The dealer charges $65. 00-$75. 00 JUST TO plug in and read the codes!!!!!!!

If the problem turns out to be a $30. 00 sensor... you still pay for the HONOR OF HAVING YOUR ECM SCANNED!!!!

A $30. 00 sensor quickly turns into a $200. 00 repair bill with Labor!!!!

This is B. S... ... .

How about a dial-in-turbo pressure capability? Just set your max and don't worry about it.

IDEA: The digital guages (SPA's) have the ability to set warning values... and they have an external warning LED socket that is typically not in use (since the guage has an LED for this purpose). Could you use this output to trigger an electrically operated wastegate? That way you could set your max. desired boost and not worry about exceeding it! #ad

How about a simple EGT alarm that would connect to the standard type K thermocouple and gauge setup many of us already have. It would turn on an idiot light or sounds a buzzer at an adjustable temperature. Of course it would have to be inexpensive.
