OK, GAUGES, TURBO HOUSING, WHEEL , 10 PLATE, NO CAT, NO MUFFLER,BHAF. . NOW WHAT. . 370 INJECTORS ? LARGER DELIVERY SPRINGS? HELP  I WANNA DO SOMETHING ELSE. . OTHER THAN transmission. IT RUNS GREAT NOW BUT IF I GET ON IT THE transmission SHUTTERS BETWEEN SHIFTS... . Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

a 3k gsk will feel like 50 hp but really its not a HP increase just broadens the power band, you will love it and Piers has them on sale for 100 dollars plus 10% off for tdr members that will be the best 90 bucks you ever spend, after that dont even think about installing another power adder without a transmission.

Do you have your 10 plate slid full forward? If so have you ran it anywhere else before sliding it full forward? Just trying to get an idea of the difference between being centered and full forward. I recommend the 3k gsks as well. They arent really that hard if you take your time and dont drop any parts into the pump. It would help to have someone that has done them before to show you how to do it, but after that they only took about an hour tops.

I'm running a #8 in a 180 pump w/ a stocker auto. I'm getting the shutter once it goes into 3rd w/ TC lockup and I'm in it. I know I need to UG to DTT, but can someone chime in on what exactly I'm feeling? My plate was in the middle, but I had to move it up. ;) Probably ~75% forward. Starting to feel pretty good. How close am I to sweeping my transmission up off the pavement?

Think I need injectors... . The 3k really turns it on. I was in the mud during Christmas and it went to 3500 rpm (in a heartbeat) when I leaned into it. It's nice. :D

TIA,

Hvy

I did my 3K springs the other day. Not too hard, just be aware of a few things... the pictures from Piers are with the pump OUT of the truck ;) , looks a little different sideways and under stuff. Also, have a container ready when you pull the plug to access the springs... THARS OIL IN THAT THAR HOLE! You can roll the engine over by turning the dampner (?) on the bottom of the serpentine belt. It's not easy, but doable by hand. Get an extending magnet for the springs. Mine had FOUR on each side. Take your time, and as mentioned above, don't drop anything in the pump! You'll probably have to bump the idle when you're done. Good luck

3K springs are easy... take a pry bar or tac-remover and grind a slot in it big enough to slip over the governor stud while removing and re-tightening the nut. It will make the job 100x easier! Just count the number of clicks back, take olds springs/shims/seat out, install new springs and seat, and run the governor nut back down the same ammount of clicks as it came out. Oh yeah, there are two sets of springs approx. 180* out from each other. ;) :D

Justin my plate is slid full forward. . Does anyone live near cincinnati that knows how to do this. I'm kinda freaked about doin it myself. .

I could probably hook you up with a buddy of mine in New Richmond Ohio near Eastgate if you really want? They are much simpler than they seem though. ;)
