Nfab bars

I am wondering if any one has N-Fab nerf bars on a 06 Mega 2500? If so how/ what do they mount to? As far as are they mounted to the frame or body?

They mount to the pinch at the lower part of the body with a backing plate that leverages against the backside of the sill area. It may not seem very strong, but I am pleasantly amazed how strong it really is. These bars are mounted far more securely than the frame-mounted Smittybilts I had on a previous truck, and as strong or stronger than other mounting variations I've seen.



It's hard to really describe how they mount without pictures because the description doesn't do it justice.

Defiant truck products has built some very strong rock rails only custom one offs so far but with enough request?????????????maybe he will go into production.

If you like NFabs, you should also look at GoRhino's Dominators. They are like NFabs but are available in stainless steel. NFabs are only carbon steel, which can rust.

I'll have to check those out. Do they mount in the same manner?

I'm curious of the price. I got my 3-step Nfabs for less than $400 for 4wheel parts with a show discount. Stainless isn't cheap!

can anyone post pictures of install and how these n fab bars mount? has anyone experienced rust? i was thinking of getting them line-xed before install.
