Grilling With New Wood Pellet Grill....

RIP Capt. Phil -- Deadliest Catch

okay guys, playoffs are here for the super bowl, how do you like the final four teams that are in, what teams do you thick is going to the super bowl, and who you think is going to win. thanks god bless

I think Indy is a shoe-in for the AFC. In the NFC, I don't have a preference on the winner, but I feel like the Vikes have a good shot. They have a stellar D and can eat the clock up on offense if they choose to and have a good chance to win the time of possession battle. If the Vikes get behind though, Favre will play all out and start to gamble with risky throws. I think either NFC team will make for a good game with Indy. It would be sweet to see Indy vs. Saints and have a all-offense superbowl and have them score 100 combined points!

I think Indy is going to take the rookie (Sanchez) to school. He's had some bright spots this year... . but I think its over.

On the other side of things... I think New Orleans is going to score... . they have had that ability all year long. Breeze has so many offensive weapons that you can't double cover all of them. . I think they will score early and often... .

As much as I like Bret Farve and want to see him go the distance. . i just hope he doesn't fall back into old tendencies and get behind early, then start gun-slinging the ball all over the field... If he does, N. O. defense will make him pay for it... I like Farve, but he has that history... .

So, I guess I'm gonna say that it will be Indy and New orleans in the Super Bowl... .

I think either way it goes... . we are gonna have GREAT QB's on both sides of the ball in the SuperBowl... . !!!! Should make for an interesting game!!!

saints fans will rock the dome come sunday. bret farve was always the best QB in the game. bret can bring his stuff down from minnosota so he does not have to go back up north. after the game he can just go back home to kilm ms. 58 miles.

as a diehard jets fan, i have to say they have a good shot to be competitive and hopefully pull off the upset. as for the nfc i see the saints winning. either way i think the champion will be one of the afc teams.

Saints better brace for Katrina II

If the Saints rely on the Colts to beat themselves like Minnesota did, it will be a very boring blowout at the SuperBowl.

The Saints won, but were not the least bit impressive on either side of the ball, nor did they "beat" the Vikings. The Vikings beat the Vikings.

The Aints played real dirty trying to hurt, not beat, Favre, too. Got a free touchdown at the 1 1/2 yard line, and got away with holding all game long. I hope Breese gets a taste of that "injure the QB" crap the Saints like so much. He'll fold and will never be half as great as Favre or Warner. Too bad Bob Sanders is out (again). But they still have Dallas Clark and between him and the Colts coach, Jim Caldwell, those former Iowa Hawkeye greats will get the job done.

My pick: Colts by more than 20 points over the Aints. 30 if the Saints play like they did against the Vikes. Call it Katrina II.

(Don't tell my son, he's a huge Colts fan and I pretend to despise them, well, the Manning bros. anyway, but I look forward to seeing N'awlins destroyed and humiliated. )

The best part of that game will be The Bloody 'Oo (The Who) at halftime... Go!!, Daltry! :D

No Doubt... . the vikings beat themselves... Farve had what... . 2 interceptions?? Can't do that in a play-off game.

I have been watching Adrian Peterson since high school, we played against them in H. S. ball... For a guy that has so much natural speed and talent he's getting worse and worse about not protecting the ball. I also saw him fall down in the middle of the field and kick his feet and flail his arms around like a spoiled 3-year old after losing a high school play-off game!.

The way I see this Superbowl shaping up is, Peyton manning vs. Sean Peyton. Sean Peyton is going to have to dial up a game like nothing he's ever done before, this plan will have to be completely adjustable at a play by play level..... If he gives Manning a second look at any one scheme, points will go on the scoreboard! Like him or not, Peyton Manning is the most intelligent QB that can think and adjsut on the fly to come along in awhile. .

ok i know they had a couple bad calls , myself as a saints fan. the 1-1/2 t/d should have been overturn, this is not the only bad call the nfl overlook over the years. why did bret favre throw that ball at the end. they had the game with a field goal, bret's mistake. (ok) the old saying is any team can be beat.

Yup, its true: the better team does not always win. That game proved it.

My son is a sports junkie and tells me three of the game's officials went on ESPN a few days later after viewing a tape of the game and said there were at least three serious cheap shots on Favre that went uncalled and would have made a difference (15 yards and a 1st down). Two Aints players were fined for their cheap shots.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm the really loud guy in the stands yelling "Sack the quarterback" at every game. My oldest is a pretty good defensive end (sambacker) on a high school team that has won three straight State Championships and 41 straight games. I LOVE great defense, and theirs is the best! Without taking cheap shots! So I really don't like the cheap shot saints and the way they declare they "failed to do their job if the quarterback can get back up off the ground. "

I'm tired of seeing great careers ended or even disrupted by cheap shots AND I'm tired of all the special rules being put into effect as a result. Soon, you won't even be allowed to touch the quarterback if he's in the pocket, and what kind of game will it be then? And its all because of guys like the Aints.

You can knock a QB down all day if he has the ball, but trying intentionally to hurt him is as low-class and cowardly as it gets. I always wonder what Jim McMahon might have gone on to do. . ?

wow' the officials reviewed the tape and seen at least 3 cheap shots on bret, why did they not call it on the field. where is the espn page i can view the officials respones on the cheap shots. there was one when the def lineman hit brett. and the ball just got out of his hands, the def lineman about 350 lb. you can not stop in mid air before hitting the Q/B. it's hard to beleive that the saint are the only team that ever hit the Q/B. years ago it was the aint's, no more (go saints)

The play where his ankle was injured was definitely one of them I'm guessing. He was hit cleanly from the front, but the second guy took him out from behind below the knees. That's a big no-no (Brady rule) and did in fact injure him. I did not see or hear the interview with the officials, my son did.

IMHO... I Do not like cheap shots, but at the same time, I can't STAND some of the rules in the NFL anymore... You can't touch the qb... . WHY?? hes got a helmet and pads on, he gets a paycheck... . its HIS job!.

Some of the PASS INTERFERENCE calls that get made to set up 1st and goal on the 1 yard line are complete B. S.

Then if somebody makes the catch on a deep ball, then you gotta challenge it, review it, then overturn it because when the ref looks at the play at 1/10 speed, there was a fraction of a second as he was getting driven to the ground by two defenders that the ball wiggled in his arms a little... THE NFL is getting plain stupid!!. .

Dang Soapbox... !

You're right on the money! And further QB injuries from cheap shots WILL lead to more pansy-*** rules that will ruin the game. Teams like the saints need to rein in their open "injure the quarterback" game plans and attitudes. Sooner or later they will receive retaliation and where would they be without Brees?

Well... . got the brisket on... . Wife has all the "inside" food ready or almost ready. . . . Shiner Bock is in fridge and cold. Ready for a good game today... I need it to be 14-10 Saints at the first quarter, 21-17 Colts the rest of the way... .
