This will be awesome, super nice trophies and an opportunity to win some serious scratch at the big one in September.

NHRA rules and they are bracket races with a 12. 99 break so the pro class is 12. 99 and faster.

I will post the pulling rules and classes as soon I get a copy :D

Hoss, I changed the bracket classes at the request of the NW racers? I don't get it? Why not use the DHRA sanctioning? I even changed our format to member tracks so the tracks can run the series. Is there any way to please the NW racers?

We got the roll bar changed to 11. 49 btw!

I'm confused?

I know we have the DHRA which is a sanctioned group of the NHRA. What is the NHRdA? Why the need to two of the same, at least what appears to be the same to me, groups. Has the NHRA approved of the NHRdA?

Thanks,

Ryan

The points series in the Northwest needed a heading to go under so this is what was decided. The rules that are used are NHRA and both tracks in the series Mission Raceway and Pacific Raceway are NHRA tracks. There is a dislike for lack of a better word for the DHRA in the Northwest and there are several drivers who will not race under the DHRA banner. For better or worse the way to get the most drivers to the start line was to use NHRA rules and the NHRdA is a title for the points series. All you have to do is pass NHRA tech and you can race.

There has been a lot of interest in a points series in this area and in order to get the tracks to agree and set up this whole thing we needed a name for the series to go under. The wheel is not being reinvented here guys. We just want to race and put diesel against diesel and this way we have a lane to ourselves at 8 races this season plus the Northwest Nationals. As you all know we may out in the toolies here but we have a lot of drag racers and a few pretty fast rigs in these parts. We just wanna have fun :D

Thanks for the info HOSS. Is the NHRdA affiliated with the NHRA then?

I also was not aware of any issues the guys in the NW had with the DHRA, I guess I am a little sheltered here in the Midwest :) If it is ok with you to share that info I am curious to know why (a PM would be fine).

Thanks again.

It's now the NHRdA, It was a managerial decision based off the fiscal year macroeconomics crowding out paradoxically deduction rational……………I think anyways?

That explains it Bill, thanks, lol. Anyway, thanks for the PM Hoss, I understand. A diesel drag racing series in the NW is awesome. DHRA or not, it's doing something for the sport and that is what it's all about. Have fun and good luck everyone!
