WHOAH DOGGY .... EDM's!

More Power

What are your comments on the nitrous express "street kit" from diesel dynamics. It seems to be priced right but i am not sure what kind of power gains it is capable of. I know that the gains all depends on the amount of overfueling but i am just wondering if the . 125 solenoid and only 4an lines is enough compared to other kits that use 6an lines. I would be useing the nos for truck pulling and dyno events, not daily driving. I am looking for a +150 hp gain. Thanks Mat

FYI, the lines and solenoids will flow up to the limit of the solenoid, or a . 125 jet. With a . 92 jet we were ADDING 160rwhp. We estimate that kit to be able to swing 200+rwhp gains.

Sounds like the "street kit" will work where i'm at and where i'll be going. I got a good amount of smoke so i hope to see some good gains. I'll be contacting you soon keith and in the meantime i'll be trying to figure out some ways to stealth out a system. If any one has any good ideas pm me. I don't know if the tank in the toolbox and locking it up and claming to have lost the key will work. :D Thanks, matt

there are not too many pulls anywhere that will allow nitrous. I would say save your money call Doug and tell him you want another 150-200 hp and I'll bet he says no problem. Remember drugs are bad:D

I gotta love it when folks say drugs are bad... ... . Why is that? I say different strokes for different folks. Running N02 is just another way to increase the oxygen content in the cylinder to support combustion. Like all other modifications N02 needs to be setup right in order to gain maximum HP and reliability.

Why don't they let you run it when pulling? I have no plans of installing it or pulling but was wondering why they have a problem with it. Jake

Matt, You better call Doug and let him know what you are wanting to do. I bet enterprise won't support your decision. And find out if something breaks in the engine if they are going to cover it at all. Did you end up going with a twin setup or just a single? Remember to look at the rules for the truck pull and how many allow nitrous. And they will be teching the trucks so a stealth system probably wont be too helpful. Not trying to stop you from the power but research the other variables and see if it is really worth it.

Are you pulling at Dekalb? PM me sometime, well get together since were neighbors.

Jeremy,

I haven't talked to doug about this nos thing. I know they arn't to supportive about the drugs. :( He did tell me that when i bought the turbo that this thing would take on the drugs. I need to get this truck on a dyno and see what she has probably before i do anything else. I got just a single charger on here right now and i think i want to stay that way for the same reasons you do. I am just running 375 injectors right now and when i talked to doug and dave last time they didn't think i should go any bigger on injectors without twins. I see a lot of trucks with bigger injectors and not twins so i think the injectors might have to change if i don't get the nos. :D Matt

I guess what I am trying to say is that the pulling world has just about completely outlawed drugs of any kind. I guess they are not so bad as they are illegal. Truthfully I have nothing against drugs or pulling against trucks with them, I just wouldn't want somebody to go out and spend a bunch of money on something that they can't use where they want to use it the most. Also EEP has not set the motor up to run something like that, it would be hard for them to stand behind their parts when something they discourage you from useing is what could be causing the carnage.

Ok, ok fellow enterprise pullers, it looks like i will not be going to put nos on the truck and stay loyal to EEP. I'll probably just invest what little money i have into the drive line to try and hold together what i already have. I just thought if i got into dekalb, which i'm not sure of right now, that i wanted a little something to keep me from getting my butt kicked. Who knows maybe i can get my hands on one of those new turbos soon and get some pulling injectors.

I do have one question that maybe someone could answer. If a motor is built to handle twins then why wouldn't it handle nos? Isn't the nos just a form of adding more air to the engine like twin turbos do? Thanks for all your help. Matt

I wouldnt worry about getting your butt kicked at Dekalb. It is just a good pull to see where the winter upgrades put you and to give you an idea what to work on before the next pull. It is a short track anyways, so when you open it up you have to shut it down really quick. Last year I heard stock trucks were putting it into the bales of straw they had at the end of the track. So if you get your butt kicked there, I wouldn't worry about it at all. It will just be a good point to see what needs to change before the Mississippi pull. Are you going to that one?

Jeremy

Mississippi pull will depend on what the weather is like. That's usually good planting time around here so if it's too nice here i won't be heading south. Who knows maybe we can catch some good april weather and i can get everything done before hand. I would rather muncie not be my first hook of the year so i am praying i get to run at dekalb otherwise i might just have to go south. Matt

How is his truck not set up for nitrous?? Low compression pistons are ideal for nitrous. If it is set up right, nitrous will let your motor live longer. 150 more hp and less EGTs??? What could be better as long as you know how to do a head gasket?
