In an effort to eliminate turbo lag and smoke, I am looking at a nitrous system. I have some questions for those of you that are using N2O.

Where are you admitting it into the engine? Pre-turbo, or Post-intercooler?

What size jets are you using?

Is the NOS Diesel kit worth the money?

475hp and 1050lb of torque on #2
530hp and 1140 with bullydog lpg maxed(only 55hp)
590hp and 1200 with lpg and nos
all done in 5th gear with 35's.

Does an N2O system reduce turbo lag significantly? I would expect no more than a 20 HP increase.

Cliff I only use nos in a race type situation but I was able to make a hx40 with a 18. 5 housing have NO lag. I could do a 3rd gear launch and not even come close to bogging the motor. I have mine injecting before the intercooler in the tube after the turbo so it doesn't have a huge hit but it has made 60 hp on the dyno with only a 42 jet. I also only use a pro shot cylinoid and #3 line. It makes for almost 0 lag.
 
i have also been curiuos about no2. are you only injecting no2 and no fuel? it doesn't seem like it would hurt anything with just no2 since you can't really run a diesel lean.

yes this is a dry system meaning you do not inject more fuel. Basically no2 is just air, cold air at that so it helps burn more of the fuel you already have. This is also the reason it greatly helps with preboost power(turbo lag) because this is when we lack air. So we supplement boost/air with no2.
Someting to consider is for $4+ a lb you should be overfueled(Joe D should use alot of no2 for the next 91+hp) before it will make any or much difference in hp. Also for us overfueled #ad
it makes a big difference in inlet air temp witch also helps with egt help(again Joe I'm sure you can use help here) #ad

not to be picky or anything but nitrous oxide is N2O, not NO2
