Well I got new tires and went back to 265/70/17 load range E. Went with pirelli scorpion STR's. Much better than the nittos they replaced as far as handling and body roll. I'll definitely not go with a D rated tire again. With the nittos It felt like I needed new shocks but with the stiffer side wall on the E tires I realized it was just the thinner side walls on the D rated tires. I wouldn't reccomend the Nitto's and I only got about 15,000 miles on them before they were completely bald.

prestonmck, how much, if any mpg difference with the smaller and E rated tire? Thanks, Doc
