Anyone running these tires and if so whats your thoughts on them. I did a search for them and found some good threads just looking for more info.

I have a set of Nitto 295's terra grappler (sp?). Have a little over 15 thousand miles on them. Showing very little wear. Work really well in the mud and snow. I would buy them again.

Ditto - what he said. I have about 15k on mine too. They're just getting to where they will break free a little easier when wet if I get on it too hard. They ride, handle, look and stick better than the stock BFG 265's.

My neighbor has a set and he raves about them. Don't know how may miles he has on them but they are holding up WAY better than my piece of crap BFG 315's. Wish they made a bigger size and I would buy some. :(

i have a set also but cant really comment being i only have 5000 miles on them. For you folks that have 15k what psi are you running in your tires.

I run 45 psi all the way around for normal driving. When towing my 5er or carrying a heavy load I run 65 psi in the rear tires.

They're a Good Tire

I have around 6000 miles on mine and I'm liking them. I have Skyjacker D25 springs on the front and those give me about 1 1/2 - 2" lift. Highly recommend the D25s because the ride is so much better and the cost is around $150. No problem with clearance. They are about 2" bigger than the stock 265s. I keep mine at 65psi because we keep using the camper. My first choice was the Toyo M/T in 35x12. 50 but they weren't available at the time. Now they are but are difficult to get and cost about 50% more than the Nittos.

I didn't even know there was a 295/70R17 out there until I saw this thread. That's the perfect size tire for our trucks if you ask me. 295s are 33 inches.

I called around looking for some and there is a nationwide backorder on them. Depending on who you ask it will be 1-3 months before they show up again. In other words, nobody knows.

In another thread, somebody said Toyo is coming out with that size. It is listed on the toyo canada website in the specs list for the Open Country M/T. Not the A/T though. And there are no size numbers or weight ratings shown.
