i really like my terra grapplers so far. they finally cured my death wobble and offer good traction in just about everything. too soon to comment on the wear.

My Terra's are good except i'm disapointed with the wear. I tow my camper a lot in the summer and wore my back tires down a lot. The terra's seem soft to me and don't wear well when it's hot out. I love the way they looke and drive though.

Anything over 22-24psi on launches I'm spinning at the line with terra's. If my truck had 800hp like your truck I would get a set of slicks...

my 325 60 18 terra grapplers in a D load range were bald at 25k. Same driving habits with a set of cepek fun country II's with an E load range - I've got 28k on them and just rotated them 2 weeks ago. I'd guess I've got 10-12k left. I would not recommend the nitto TG's but would definitely advise using the cepek's. With an 18" wheel I'm a little limited on tire selection with the load rating I'm looking for. Also, I could be wrong but I think toyo and nitto are manufactured by the same company.

You're right JLibert, toyos and Nitto are the same rubber. I've got 10K on my Nittos and I don't see them lasting even another 10K. I'm limited also on a 20" rim. Love how they look but hate how they wear.

I put the 285/70/17 E Nitto's on 10days ago. No problems at all so far. Looks great, run smooth and quiet for an agressive on/off road tread. Will keep you posted on them as I get more miles on them.

I had 20" Terra Grapplers on my Ram 1500 and was not pleased with the wear, either. They didn't last 22k. I now have BFG AT KO and they seem to be wearing much better.

Mine looked fine too at first. They really start to wear fast when they start to heat up. On a long trip you can stop to look at them and literally see the rubber balling up on the tire. It's a shame because they are really good looking tires.

Looks like I'll be going back to BFG AT K/O.

The Terra Grapplers provide good traction and look fantastic on everything I have seen them on. Mine lasted about 20K with about 2 flats per month and three ruined tires by the end of my trouble. The durabilty on rocky roads just wasn't there. I also felt a bit of "floating" as compared to the Michelins I had previously. In fairness, they were a load range D tire and I am comparing them to an E tire. The '01 has Trxus MT's now, but they are an entirely different monster.

Tires, tires, tires ??????

I have finally decided to go with Pro Comp Xtreme AT's, 35x13. 50x20 "E" rated... I'm running toyo's 35x12. 50x20 and got about 32,000K. The Xtreme warrants 40,000k, and have 22/32 tread depth. My 2nd. choice was Mickey Thompson Baja radial ATZ 19/32 tread ( no warranty), and 3rds was Dick Cepek FC 11's 21/32 tread ( not warranty). I can get all three at the same price, however, both the ATZ's and FC 11's in my size are hard to find, and should I have a problem down the road may be difficult to replace. I like the look of the ATZ's best, and the FC 11's next, and then the Xtreme's. I've run all the different types of MT's which look good, however, it's time to get practical. Winter is coming fast, and all of these tries will do just fine. I'm hoping to get 40,000k, even 35,000k would make me happy. My truck has a 4-1/2'' lift now, and I can't afford new wheel's, so I'm stuck with the 20's.

I'm going with Coopers Discoverer STT 285/70/17 as soon as my 285 sized BFG All Terrains wear out. So far I've got 35K on my BFG's some burnouts here & there, a lot of full throttle starts, little towing hear & there and they are about 50% I am impressed with the wear on this tire, I feel like I could stretch them to 50K if I drove the truck like it was stock, I really need more bite off-road and a stiffer tire than the BFG though. I've heard nothing but praises about the Coopers, so we will see. I would do the BFG again, but I drive harder than the avg CTD driver for sure and need a more demanding tire.

Mine are E rated and they float also. I haven't experienced any rocky road flats yet but have had two tires replaced because they were out of round and couldn't be balanced. NITTO will not get my business again at $300 a tire and won't last 20K. Look great but too expensive and not economical. Cooper or BFG here I come. Only 5 K to go.

I have the Toyo Open Country AT 285/17 load E and I really like them. They handle just as good as the Stock Michelins on the freeway but are ALOT better off road. They seem to be wearing fine but I only have about 5,000 on them. I will buy them again.

What PSI are you running Kday? I'm running 65 PSI all around. Thats what DT recommended.
