I just installed a set of 325/65R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. So far they work great. Quiet on road and excellent traction both on and off-road. Load rating is 3195 lbs at 50 psi. Load Range D. Pulling a 12,000 lb gooseneck trailer on a 600 mile trip over the weekend, the tires worked as well or better than my 315/70R17 BFG's. Seemed to be a little more stable.

Not a bad looking tire either. I have attached a pic.

Nice looking truck

I to have the Nitto's Except mine are 325-60-18

I have no complaints so far. I have about 14000 miles on them. They seem to be wearing a little fast, but I guess thats the price you have to pay to look good.

I looked at the 325/60's but I wanted something a little taller. The 325/60R18's are approx 33" tires. The 325/65R18's are approx 35" tire. The 315/70R17 BFG's that I have on the stock rims are also approx 35" and I was really happy with that combination, both fuel mileage and gearing was about right. With the new wheel and tire setup, even though the overall height is about the same, because of the wheel offset, I had to do some minor trimming to the bottom of the front fender for clearance. The trimming was very minor and you can't tell even if you look closely.

Very nice truck. The tires really fit the truck well. Are the comparable to the BFG price wise?

Thank you, I am very happy with the way the truck turned out. As for the tires, when I purchased my BFG's a year or so ago, they were on sale for $117. 00/ea. I think they are now around $170. 00/ea. The Nitto's cost me $220. 00/ea including shipping.

I had Nittos on my '01 and they wore a little fast. They wore on the rear the most, no burnouts, in the middle. I aired down to low 30 psi range and still saw the same wear pattern. A friend had them on his f350 with the same results. Another ran them on an excursion and they lasted around 50k. Someone told me that with the torque of the diesel and minimal weight on the rear on a pickup that they may have been spinning but not to the point of knowing about it. Dunno. I have BFG 315 with a little over 20k and they are wearing great. Maybe I got a bad batch or something. I liked them beyond that. YMMV.

Looks great. A guy i talk to at my gym has a 04' powerjoke lifted with the nittos in 37" meats. . Looks real good I just hate how his truck makes mine looks small right now :(

I have 35" Terra Grapplers on mine and like them. Look nice and are quiet. I don't think I will get 25k out of them but they do come with 50k pro-rated tread life mileage warranty.

Coonrod, how wide are your helo wheels and how well did the tires fit?

That size tire would suit me fine but I have my eyes on a 8. 5" wide wheel and I see 9. 5" is recommended for that size tire.

I think they are 9" I am not sure though. They do stick out of the fenders some. But with the Bushwacker flares they are covered. Thats was also the look I was going after. Alot of people in here don't like the wider offset. The tires fit perfect. With out a leveling kit I had to trim just a little off of the bottom of the fender well. Nothing major. I see that your rear is lowered so you wouldnt be running a leveling kit, but if you were, they would fit fine with no trimming.

I got mine Discount tire Co. (the one with the red signs). For the whole package with road hazzard they cost me around $2100. that is with chrome not polished. At the time I bought them the wheels were on sale so I dont know what they retial for.

I had nittos on my 02 dodge 4x4 and only got 23000 miles out of them. . They sure had a good ride. . The toyo and nitto are the same tire maker and the same tire ruber. . Toyo/nitto is now trying to make a harder tire compound at this time due to premature tire wear. . Harder tire will not be as nice of a ride. . I have 315 bfg At's on my 03 now and I hate them. . In Texas our roads are hot and the tires just fall apart and break there belts. . Thats my nice way of saying they are crap.

I hear allot of fast wear comments on the Nitto's. I may just stick with my Toyo's. So far I have 19K on them and looks like they will go to 40. Excellent rain & snow traction and very quiet.

I spoke with someone at Nitto corporate and they told me that Nitto and Toyo are one in the same and owned by the same parent company. Makes sense given that most of the same sizes offerred by Nitto are consistent with Toyo's sizes.
