I drive a 2005 Ram 2500 4x4 that noe has 166,000 miles. I have to replace tires. I have been driving on Nitto Terra-Grapplers. They have 70,000 miles on them so now going to Nevada over the mountains this winter is out of the question. I'm thinking about the Dura-Grapplers. If anyone on the forum are running these tires in wet and snow please tell me how they have performed.

i had a set of 285/75/17 duragrapplers put on in aug08,only have approx 5k on them now and i like them... seem to be wearing better than the toyo open country a/t (285/70/17)that were wore out after approx 35k?no snow driving yet but work good in rain, decent traction in dirt and mud. i'd reccomend them. . i bought online @discount tire and had them installed in chicago. i think tires were just under a grand total. . i run dynabeads so just had to pay for mounting.

70,000miles??????:--) I have a set of tera grapplers and at 3,000 miles i have gone through almost half the tread. what have you done to get that kind of mileage out of those tires????
First, I had the tires professionally balanced. Then I put on a set of Centramatic Balancers. They will cost about $250. 00 for a set of 4. I considered this to be cheap insurance considering the cost of the tires.

I've got 20K on mine and they still look new - even after towing the toy hauler all summer. I'm very happy with the Terra Grapplers. They balanced easily, much better than the BFGs they replaced.
