NJ inspection

does any one know if i can straight pipe my cummin's in new jersey?? my neighbor says that because it's got a turbo i can get away with it... . but i already spent enough money on passing i don't want to fail cause of a muffler

I cant say for sure on the straightpipe, but my truck is supposed to have a cat. converter, and it dont. I passed w/o any problem.

My guess is if it's real loud, you might fail. If it's not too bad, I personally dont think they'll look.

Had to take my truck to a 'specialty' inspection place, read - very involved! Since it is lifted. It passed w/no problem... yes, no cat and damn loud. It's a '97 12v.



They were even underneath the truck looking around.

I went through the same inspection station that philly did and i passed also with no problem. The guy looked right at my straight pipe and smiled. He said no wonder it sounds so good lol. Oo.
