Give it up Wiredog; Mother Mopar has abandoned that market to the competition. If you want what you asked for on your wish list, go buy a Duramax like my brother's. It has everything you asked for. It's kinda ugly to my taste, and I like a Cummins best, but it performs great, the transmission is rock solid, and it's as comfortable, front and back, as a Lexus. If it weren't for my lacking any money at all for a new truck, I'd probably have one in my driveway. I almost ordered one a year ago, but chickened out.

Was at the For* dealer to day looking at SD's.

You can get the ISB or the 300hp cat in a F-650.

or I guess if you had a std trans in your dodge you could replace the engine harness and use a genuine Cummins RV ecm and set your own hp and torque #'s.

Ready to go to the dark side.

My son has a 4x4 real 4 door truck ( F ) and it takes 43 and 2/9's acres to turn around. the back seat back is straight up and down and after a short ride it will kill your back the same as a Ram rear seat back, You still end up sitting against the door with feet pointing to other door.

The back seat on my brother's Duramax is VERY comfortable and is covered with real leather, unlike the competition. His only compalint is that it doesn't have quadrasteer. If they add quadrasteer to the 3/4 ton, he'll trade it in. It AIN'T fun to park; bu then, neither is my son's quad cab RAM 1500. Guess single cabs have me spoiled. I may NEVER get a four-door!

Well, you can't knock the new "crew" cabs until you sit in one. I am 6'3 225. I got in a new 1500 and adjusted the drivers seat to my liking. Then jumped in the back behind the drivers seat. My knees hit the seat slightly. . nothig big really. If the driver was shorter than me(as all my friends are) I could ride back there no problem. I can't even get in the back of my truck without moving the seat forward. And I rode in a 2001 Silverado HD crew cab the other day. The back seat is no better than the new 1500s. Now my buddies 95PSD crew cab is something different... . ungodly amounts of room back there :D

PS after riding in that duramax truck I realized that the motor is quiter on the outside than it is on the inside:confused:  wierd

And there has to be some reason not to make a Crew Cab truck. I am sure they have hashed that over many times. So we don't know what it is but I am sure there is a reason that they don't do it. Look around... . they obviously have no problems selling Rams do they??? Those new 1500s are HOT around here, tons of them on the road already.

Besides... they could give us a crew cab truck with 600HP 1000ft lbs with an Auto that will hold it and people on here would start a thread whining about how there truck is to damn long and spinds the tires to easy!!
