I took it back to the dealership after the tech said the reason for no fan was the hvac head unit. . The understudy put the unit in today and that was no fix. (regular guy is sick). It was intermittent problem and if I recycled the key between off and on, but not start, I would get a fan. Now it is out totally. Any ideas for what this might be if it is not the hvac head. Are there some electonics before the swith that would make it act that way? or? Any ideas because I will go get it in a few minutes and take it back again tomorrow.

Just thought with all the wisdom here, I might get some useful input, maybe.

Thanks in advance for your opinions

My opinion, the ignition switch is faulty, it sucks. I can turn mine slightly towards off while running and all accessories will turn off.

Multiple failures point to one source, the ignition switch.

Dead on.

When the aftermarket security system was installed (done by the dealership on every car) the installer didn't clip the connection solidly, Therefore the problem was intermittent. They clicked the connector solid and now it seems to be doing fine with the air conditioning/heating knob that runs the fan.

Now, since I had to cycle it back and forth from off to run off to run, wonder how long before the ignition switch needs replacing ;)

Way to nail the problem big fella!
