Why does Dodge do these kind of things

I wanted the Almond color for my New 1 Ton Reg Cab exterior color But in the 1 Ton Reg Cab that color is not available, Yet if I order every thing the same but in a 3/4 ton then I can get that color.

Last nite when I was prepping my new truck order on Dodge.com there were a few items that I could not get in the Reg Cab only available in the Quad cab, Yet there appeared to be no logical reason for this EXCEPT there must be more profit in selling Quad's.

I may just have to consider a different manufacture. All Dodge really has is the Cummins,

Anyone know of any Ford 4x4 84 to 86 F-250 with a Cummins??

Just like Dodge's decision to not offer heated leather seats in anything below the Laramie H package (if I recall correctly)... They definitely make some stupid decisions in terms of making happy customers...

I suspect they need to start paying attention to the fact that they can't just force the customers who want certain things to settle for a truck configuration that they don't exactly want... I'm sure they're causing quite a few people to defect to the competition because of their unwillingness to cater to the customer's demands...

TSpecht I see you have the Quad and 8' box, did you ever have reg cab & 8' box, if so How do you like the turning radius and handling of the Quad vs the other? I am pondering on either a quad or reg cab either way I need and 8' box

Thanks

Unfortunately I've never had a Dodge Reg cab 8' bed truck to be able to compare it... It doesn't turn "too bad" considering the size of the beast, plus the fact that I'm still just getting used to owning it, I'm sure once I learn where the corners are (especially the front since I can't see where it is like I could on my old Chevy) I'll be able to find a better way to maneuver it around parking lots and stuff...

In general terms of handling it's quite stable. I've not tried to tow anything with it yet unfortunately...
