I was driving one of my work trucks today and noticed I can only pull around 18-20 lbs of boost. When I bought the truck 5 months ago I could be around 28-30. I have had transmission trouble recently and had a lift pump put in about a month or so ago. Anyone have any input on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Boost usually relates to engine load, so if your transmission is slippin a little, that may cause low boost levels...

You might want to have a look at the MAP sensor, perhaps you should check the wire going to it as it's right above your new lift pump, might have been affected by the lift pump work.

When my MAP sensor was bad, I had low boost, bad fuel milage, loss of power.

A new MAP brought it all right back again.

good luck
