2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission No brake lights. Help

1999 2500 all of a sudden bam both rear brake lights out. Flashers work and turn signals must be a fuse not anyway need some help thanks

Sounds like a brake light switch went south.

First make sure it is plugged in and not out of adjustment.

Yes it was plugged in and in directions said it can be set(adjusted) one time which is not really true but I did have other issues of note.the prices are all over the place 62 at dodge and 11 dollars at napa so shop but the switch is really a tight fit in the metal mount and the plastic ears on the switch break off easily . The mopar part has more space and will fit in better than the napa one but a little work with a file and sharp knife will help to get it in with some plastic removal and angling of the tabs but still a tight fit and rather a pain. To just put in .hope thi. Helps out the next guy. Thanks
