Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No Brakes NO Steering

I had a problem a few days ago on my 02 250, the power steering pump overflowed and there was no steering or brakes . I had it towed to the dealer, and after having it for nearly two days they said there was nothing wrong with it. I find this strange, and now I do not know if this will happen again when I am towing or just trying to stop at the lights. The truck only has 31000 miles on it and has never shown any signs like this before. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

sounds like the booster--when I lost mine I could steer but no brakes, but when I put on the brakes no steering---chris

yes , I had the same problem with my 2002 . I had a leak from the front cover of the steering gear box. their were hairline cracks in the end cover and i lost all of my powerr steering fluid also causing no vaccuum to assist in braking,make sure you have this documented for future use. i had a lot of problems with the dealer because they had said i had to have hit something to cause this to happen.
