the dash is dead, engine light on, air bag light on, od reads no bus?

The instrument cluster has lost communication with the vehicle's network.

Its a long shot, but sometimes the instrument cluster connector looses good contact. Sometimes just shoving on the instrument cluster can cause the connector to make better contact again.

Another thing to try is connect a code scanner to the OBDII port under the dash and check for proper communication and trouble codes.

Is the engine otherwise running normally?

See if you can pull any codes up hopefully it is something simple like Landry says but could also be your ecm. If you are able to pull anything up, it may give you a direction to start.

Check the BUS Fuse Located in the fuse panel on the Drivers side of Dash.

Yes it was the 10 Amp Fuse in the Pannel on the driver's side it was named BUS.

Truck ran fine, we got it scanned and no codes, so we found TSB 08-05-00, new cluster connector harness. every things back to normal
