Experienced same thing last year at 330,000 miles. Replaced voltage regulator. Checked and cleaned all ground connections and hot connections. Finally left with alternator as the only source of the problem - Fluked it and determined electrical failure - windings open. Bought a Mean Green alternator (www.mean-green.com) which have some very distinct advantages over the OEM and NAPA rebuild - in fact was referred to them by a Dodge Service Manager! The original alternator will generally last 10 to 13 years according to Dodge and then the combination of vibration, hundreds of thousands of miles and heat will take its toll.
