I have had this issue for over a year now and need to fix asap. Started out with the typical WTS light staying on and flickering, so I did a search on here and checked all connections replaced alternator, but have not replaced my PCM. Currently if it is cold the truck will start and not charge. As I am driving to work (15 minutes) the WTS light will illluminate the check engine and WIF light start to illuminate, then they all flicker and then everything goes to normal and then starts charging again. The colder it is the longer it takes for it to charge, if it is warm outside, no issues at all, all summer-no issues. So this morning I took my wifes hair dryer outside, pulled off the intake pipe off the intake horn, and heated the air for a couple of minutes, started truck, no charge. Anyone have any ideas? sorry for the novel.

By the way I removed my intake heater.

I think you answered your own question. Sounds consistent with a PCM problem. :)

Thanks cerberusiam, I have been working around that not wanting to shell out the cash, anyone know where to get one cheap? I have heard from $170-$400.
