No Cruise Control

I recently replaced my steering shaft with a borgensen and I had to pry up on the steering wheel to get the old one out. I heard something drop out under the steering wheel. What was it????? and is this the problem with my cruise control

Did you pull the horn cover, or was it on the underside?
