Archived No Dome Light - No cargo lights

2006 2500, 5. 9 Diesel... ... ... . No dome light, bulb is good. No voltage with meter.

No Cargo lights.



I disconnected the batteries as suggested on this site... ... ..... No joy!



Any idea what and where to look... ... ... It's dark in here!

Dont know about 2006 but all of the 2nd gens have a fuse in the pda on thr left fender called IDO. It supplies power to things that are required when the ignition switch is off. Look on the removable panel on the inside it lists the fuses. Hope this helps.

if you have 4 doors,
check the wires going from b pillar to door-common to break wires.

some have lock problems other windows, and other the dome lights (me)

pull boot out of the pillar towards door, then gently tug/pull each wire, and i be you find a broken one. (one guy even had one break in the front door but 98% of issues are the rear door wires. )

look at the most used rear door first (mine was driver since i am a service guy)
search a few threads on this, most people just solder them back together)
